Jack Sprague / No. 24 NetZero Chevrolet Lowe's Motor Speedway Pre-Race Notes and Quotes

· Jack Sprague has competed in eight NBS events at Charlotte.  He qualified sixth and finished 10th in the CARQUEST AutoParts 300 last May.
· This weekends Little Trees 300 will be Sprague's 103rd Busch Series race. In addition to the NBS race, Sprague is also attempting to qualify for his second Winston Cup event in the No. 60 Haas CNC Racing entry.
· Sprague and his teammate Ricky Hendrick performed a two-day test session at Atlanta Motor Speedway this week.

LAST  RACE AT CHARLOTTE IN MAY.
     "My last visit to Charlotte was pretty sad as far as finishing goes.  We didn't have the best car all day, but we made our way to the front and it looked like we were going to get at least a Top-5 finish out of it, but I screwed up.  I came in the pits during a late caution and hit Ricky Hendrick as I was leaving pit road.  It caused pretty good damage to the right front fender and I hit the wall on the last lap.  I'd say we got lucky with that because if it wasn't the last lap, we would have lost a lot more ground on the track than we did.  I'd like to have a better day than that this weekend."

THOUGHTS ON RACING AT CHARLOTTE..
    "Charlotte is a hit or miss track.  The weather plays a big part.  If the track is hot, it's slick and that will loosen the car up.  On the other hand, a cloud cover will make the car stick better which means you're going faster.  You've also got a bump between Turns 3 and 4 that makes things interesting too.  Basically, you just never know what to expect when you race at Charlotte."

CREW CHIEF DENNIS CONNOR ON CHARLOTTE.
   "Charlotte's one of those tracks that makes me happy I sit on the box and call the shots rather than drive.  You just never know what you're getting into until the race starts.  Even then, things can change drastically in one lap.  Every corner is different and you can't run to low in them or you'll upset the car.  Jack has a busy weekend ahead of him and he'll need to be mentally focused and I guess a little bit of luck won't hurt us either.
