RACE OVERVIEW:
    Jack Sprague finished 20th in Saturday's Mr. Goodcents 300 NASCAR Busch Series event at Kansas  Speedway.  The disappointing effort was the result of two events that Sprague fell victim to during the 200-Lap event.
    The NetZero Chevy started the race from the 16th-place starting spot and had been running strong until Lap 36.  Sprague worked his way to the 13th position when the he and the No. 92 car driven by Todd Bodine got tangled together. The No. 24 car received damage to the rear spoiler. The NetZero team worked on the spoiler, put new tires and topped it off with fuel before sending Sprague back onto the race track without losing a lap. 
    Sprague's pride and racecar were bruised, but both fought hard through the field from the 30th position.  The went from bad to worse when his NetZero Chevy ran out of gas on Lap 103.  Sprague rolled into his pits for two cans of fuel, but lost a lap in the process.  When the checkered flag fell, Sprague's work earned him 20th-place.


JACK SPRAGUE POST RACE QUOTES:
"Today's race was really depressing for all of us.  We had a lot of NetZero people in the stands and wanted to give them a good race.  When the No. 92 car got into us I really thought our day was close to being done, but my NetZero guys put everything they had into repairing the damage and keeping me on the lead lap.  When I went back out the car didn't feel bad.  I was really fast and started gaining spots, but when we thought we were going to be okay, something ruined it for us.  It seems to be the norm for this team.  I ran out of gas earlier than calculated and that's what hurt our chances of a good finish. I may have been able to gain a few more spots if the race had been longer.  We have a busy weekend this weekend and things were really going well for us.  We had two decent qualifying runs in both cars and were hoping we'd leave here with something to feel good about.  I hope Sunday's race is a better one for us."


ON STARTING POSITION:
"This week was better than last as far as qualifying. The NetZero Chevy was really good all weekend in practice, so  I was banking on a decent qualifying run, which it I think it was.  The car was a little loose and probably should have taken a little more tape off, but we were okay."
