Sprague on finishing 2nd in the Pepsi 300.
"The NetZero Chevy was awesome today. Again, my guys kept
me in the hunt every time we came in the pits. I ran a lot better in clean
air, but when I was in traffic I had an aero push. The car started off
little tight and got tighter all day, but I could still pass decent. We
basically just got snookered. That last caution a bunch of guys took two
tires and we took four and ended up ninth on the restart. The NetZero Chevy
was hauling all day and I can't complain there, but it's like all my cars
have been this year, it was tight. I know after that last caution we were
running faster than Scott (Riggs), but he was smarter in the pits and we had
traffic to deal with and couldn't catch him. We're so darn close. Second
place is good, but it's kind of like last week at Texas. It's a 50/50
feeling and we have to focus on the big picture and that's what we're doing,
but I want to win one real bad."
Sprague on the newly ground Nashville concrete.
"The track has really stood the test. The concrete was
ground down to where it has really good grip and the second groove is even
pretty good. That second groove in last year's truck race for me was pretty
hairy, but not this weekend. I was able to run the second groove all
weekend. I think it was a great idea to grind the track the way they did to
make it a good racing racetrack."
Sprague on qualifying ninth.
"Again, the car was a little tight. Mostly in the corners.
I really just overdrove the car trying to get the pole. It's our first time
in a Busch car and it's our second best qualifying effort so far. That's
two weeks in a row we qualified in the Top-10, so we're pretty happy with
that. I honestly think the car we had here this weekend is the best so far
this year."
Sprague on first practice.
"The car really wasn't too bad for our first time out here
in a Busch car. It was a little tight everywhere, but it really didn't hurt
us that much and our speeds were pretty good. We made a bunch of changes
and wound up with a pretty good car I thought for qualifying."
Sprague on final practice.
"We started off a little loose off the corner and a tick
tight in, but I was liking the way that felt. We worked on it some more and
I'm telling you - we have a really good car for tomorrow's race. I mean we
have a car that I know can win and we are so close to getting one. Until the
last couple of races, I haven't been that comfortable in these cars and
these last weeks they've felt really good and I think we're getting them
more figured out each week."
