JACK SPRAGUE TALLADEGA RACE QUOTES

Sprague on finishing 13th.
"There isn't a whole lot to say about the race.  We were only a few laps into it and all hell broke loose and just got caught up in it.  I'm glad no one was hurt, but then again upset that it happened at all.  I don't know how we ended up 13th.  I can't imagine it was much for the fans.  Even after all the damage we had, the car was fast at the end, but didn't matter much anyways.  What matters is everyone and I mean everyone on the team flew full force into getting my NetZero Chevy back in the race.  The pit area turned into a salvage yard for stock cars, but my guys were able to put their emotions aside, stay calm and do an incredible job.  The NetZero hauler was basically emptied out so when I was able to come into the garage area for work they would be ready.  It was hot out there today and we were all wore out from beating and banging the car back together.  We sure didn't have a shot at winning the race, but we definitely won today in other ways and that's keeping the points lead.  Today teamwork showed how this team has and will continue to win championships."

Sprague on Friday's practice.
"We have a pretty darn good race car in practice, so I figured it would be pretty decent in qualifying.  Ron (Hornaday) both had good cars.  A bunch of guys drafted the last few minutes on Friday and posted fast times, but I knew not to be fooled by the practice sheet."

Sprague on qualifying seventh for the Aaron's 312.
"I'm really proud of the NetZero guys and the way this car turned out.  It's was a brand new car, never tested and ran awesome.  I was happy with qualifying seventh, especially with a car that was never touched until we unloaded it."

Sprague on happy hour.
"We parked it early in the last session because the car was so fast.  I made a few laps and couldn't believe how awesome I was able to get sucked up in the draft.  The car was flying.  It was so impressive on those first few laps that we didn't see any point in staying out, so we parked it early and got ready for the race."
