NETZERO LAUNCHES "TEAM NETZERO"
NASCAR-RELATED WEBSITE
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA (April 9, 2002) - NetZero enhanced its
NASCAR marketing initiative today with the launch of
www.teamnetzero.com, a
website featuring information about Jack Sprague and the No. 24 NetZero
Chevrolet Monte Carlo NASCAR Busch Series entry.
"The Team NetZero Racing website is a great addition to our program with
Jack and the NetZero Chevy," stated Brian Woods, chief marketing officer of
NetZero. "As a leading value-priced Internet service provider, it's natural
for NetZero to have a website where race fans can go to get information
about the team. The site will be packed with race stories and photos. There
are also links to Jack Sprague's Fan Club and Merchandise. It's a great site
and everyone associated with the team and the project is excited about it's
launch."
NetZero joined the ranks of NASCAR team sponsor a year ago teaming up
with Sprague and Hendrick Motorsports. The association paid immediate
dividends as Sprague piloted his No. 24 NetZero Chevrolet Silverado to the
2001 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship, a record third division
title for the Spring Lake, MI driver .
This year, Sprague returned to the NASCAR Busch Series ranks. Now
driving a NetZero-sponsored, Hendrick Motorsports-prepared Chevrolet Monte
Carlo, Sprague scored a Top-10 finish in each of the first four events of
the 2002 season. Currently, Sprague is second in the season standings after
six races, just 23 points out of first place, heading into this weekend's
event at Nashville Superspeedway.
"Jack and the NetZero Chevy have had a great start to the 2002 Busch
Series season," stated Woods. "Last year, we were hoping the team would do
well and they delivered four wins and a championship in the Truck Series.
This year, Jack and the NetZero Chevy are right up front again in the Busch
Series. To say we've been pleased with the results is an understatement."
