JACK SPRAGUE ON THE
CAROLINA DODGE DEALERS 400.
"Darlington is a tough track
and demands respect. Just when you think you might be getting comfortable
with the track it can, and will, reach out and bite you every time.
Hopefully, we'll get there and have a setup that will be pretty good right
off the truck. That way we can concentrate on just making small changes to
make the NetZero Pontiac better as the weekend wears on."
SPRAGUE ON MAKING
IT THROUGH THE FIRST FOUR RACES.
"Getting to the fifth race of the season is
a big deal for a first-year team like the Haas CNC Racing team. We were
fortunate to have some points from the few races we ran last year to fall
back on in case we needed to, and it turned out we did. Now if something
happens and we need to depend on a provisional to get into a race it's all
based on our performance from this season. Of course, at 34th in
the points, we may not be exactly where we would like to be, but the way I
see it, it could be a lot worse. I hate to use provisionals, I hate to
start in back, but some of that is to be expected in our situation. Sure,
we're concerned that we've had some setbacks this season, but unless you're
leading the points, you always want more. This NetZero team is not going to
panic. We're a professional organization that deserves to be Cup racing.
We've got a great sponsor, we've paid our dues, been through good and bad
times and we've always stuck together until we reached our goals. It may
take a little while, but this year won't be any different."
