JACK SPRAGUE QUOTES:

ON RACING AT GATEWAY INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY: “Gateway is one of the more complicated tracks we race on in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. It isn't that Gateway is so difficult as it is both ends are so different. Turns three and four are high-speed corners while turns one and two are not. You have to set up the truck to work at one end and give up the other end. This year a new piece to the equation will be no shifting, so that is going to change things from what we are used too in the past. It is not so much that the track will reach up and bite you as it is the driver having to remember his truck is only going to work very well on one end or the other and having to finesse it through the other end.

“I won my first pole there last year and had an awesome truck last year. We were set to get a really strong top-three

finish when the right front tire blew. As I was trying to limp around to pit road, the left front blew and at that point the suspension was torn up so bad that we were done for the night. It was a bummer because it was only five laps from the scheduled end of the race and then things really got exciting when we had all the green-white-checkered attempts.

“It is a fun track to ran on, we always seem to have a lot of action for the fans to enjoy. I am looking forward to this weekend with our Chevy Trucks Silverado. “
